The highlight of last week's northern suburbs auctions was the sale of 2 Boomerang Street, Turramurra. The four-bedroom house has three bathrooms, a pool, tennis court and a billiards room. It was sold by Raine & Horne, Killara, for $880,000. The average auction price for houses sold in Turramurra in 1993-94 was $439,000.
The lowest price paid at auction in the northern suburbs last week was$92,000. Located in Lovett Street, Manly Vale, the one-bedroom unit has a balcony and an under cover parking space. The unit was sold by Raine & Horne, Manly.
Of the 142 properties offered at auction last week 92 were sold for a total of $33.9 million. The $201,000 to $300,000 price range was the most popular, with 36 properties offered for auction, of which 30 were sold (clearance rate, 83 per cent). A two-bedroom unit in Mosman realised $238,000.

The highest price realised at auction in 1993 was $2 million for 3 Riverview Road, four-bedroom house on the waterfront with an in-ground pool. The lowest price was $158,000, for 11/1-3 Avalon Parade, a one-bedroom unit with water views. The average auction price was $383,000.
